Founded in April 2018 from the need to eliminate culturally appropriative behaviour in the fashion industry with a vision to create a system that nurtures, sustains and protects Traditional Knowledge and Traditional Cultural Expressions.   

Swara recognises the use of Akolan art on all its products. This appreciation and acknowledge forms a key part of our communications to our external stakeholders. ​Our marketing collateral contains information about the craft performed by the Chippa family.
